In the 30th match of IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) achieved a historic win against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and defeated them by 25 runs in a high-scoring match. In this match held at Chinnaswamy Stadium, both the teams performed brilliantly, but Hyderabad dominated with the bat.
Winning the toss, Royal Challengers Bangalore decided to field first, hoping to limit Hyderabad’s batting lineup. However, this was followed by a flurry of runs which wrote a new chapter in the history of IPL.

Batting first, Hyderabad produced an extraordinary display of power-hitting to post a mammoth score of 287 runs for the loss of just 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and set a new record for the highest team score in IPL history.
For Hyderabad, Travis Head batted brilliantly and scored 102 runs in 41 balls. His innings were adorned with 8 skyscraper sixes and 9 brilliant fours, due to which the Bengaluru bowlers were under a lot of pressure.
Supporting Head’s brilliance was Heinrich Klaasen, who played a key role in Hyderabad’s strong score and contributed an impressive 67 runs off 31 balls.
DK Played a Good Innings
In reply, Royal Challengers Bangalore got off to a strong start, with openers Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli providing a solid foundation with scores of 62 and 42 respectively. After this, the explosive innings of Dinesh Karthik was seen in the middle order, who demonstrated his immense hitting ability with the help of 7 sixes and 5 fours and scored 83 runs in just 35 balls.
Despite valiant efforts from Karthik and the Bengaluru batsmen, the target proved insurmountable as they fell short by 25 runs despite a dominant display from Hyderabad.
