In the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction today, on 31 October, all 10 franchises have released the list of their retained players. In this sequence, Rajasthan Royals (RR) has also released its list for IPL 2025.
IPL’s first champions Rajasthan Royals have steadily risen since 2022. They have reached the final for the first time since their 2008 victory. Although they finished fifth in 2023 and missed the playoffs, they made it to the top four earlier this year. Led by Sanju Samson, RR aims to end the title drought next season.
The Royals have made significant changes ahead of the upcoming IPL mega auction. They have retained six key players, on whom a total of Rs 79 crore has been spent. These retained players include captain Sanju Samson and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, each priced at Rs 18 crore, making them the most expensive on the list.
Rajasthan Royals have decided to retain Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer, Dhruv Jurel, and Sandeep Sharma. This strategic retention reflects their focus on building a strong core team for future success.
