According to the report of Cricbuzz, Team India has decided to rest its vice-captain and strike bowler Jasprit Bumrah for the fourth Test of the series against England. It is stated in the report, that Bumrah will leave directly for Ahmedabad from Rajkot rather than going to Ranchi with the team. Bumrah will return to the team in the last match of the series which will be played in Dharamshala.

The Indian team has decided to rest Bumrah as part of the workload management. Bumrah, the bowler who took the most wickets in the series, has bowled 80.5 overs in three matches so far and has taken 17 wickets at an average of 13.64. At the same time, Mukesh Kumar, who was released from the team during the third test to play in the Ranji Trophy, might return to the team. Mukesh Kumar performed amazingly while playing for Bengal against Bihar in the Ranji Trophy match.
