Kane Williamson May Be Ruled Out from World Cup 2023 – Reports

New Zealand cricket has suffered a huge blow amid the World Cup being played in India. Captain Kane Williamson, who returned from injury, is injured again. In Friday’s match against Bangladesh in Chennai, Kane’s thumb was injured after being hit by a throw while running between the wickets. After this, an X-ray confirmed a fracture in Kane Williamson’s left thumb. In such a situation, Tom Blundell has been called to India as cover.

Williamson will remain in the World Cup squad to be available for the pool stage matches next month. Wellington Firebirds batsman Tom Blundell will travel to India as cover, but will not be officially part of the squad.
