Royal Challengers Bangalore, which is struggling with poor form, will play Mumbai Indians on Thursday in the Indian Premier League match, which itself is under immense pressure to perform well. RCB, which has lost four out of five matches, made mistakes in team selection and could not compensate for it with its performance on the field.
In the points table, it is one place below Mumbai. Mumbai is in ninth position after winning one out of four matches. It had defeated Delhi Capitals by 29 runs in the last match.
Despite the brilliant performance of Virat Kohli, RCB’s campaign has had a very poor start. Now half of the IPL matches are about to end soon and in such a situation, RCB’s foreign players will have to find their rhythm, which includes captain Faf du Plessis (109 runs), Glenn Maxwell (32), and Cameron Green (68 runs).
The Mumbai team, which usually gets off to a slow start in the IPL, knows that any delay now could lead to adverse results. By defeating RCB, it will intend to register its second consecutive win so that the team’s morale can be boosted as it has to play Chennai Super Kings in the next match.
Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma have scored runs at the top order but the middle order has failed for which captain Hardik Pandya will have to answer. It also remains to be seen whether the anger of Mumbai fans towards Hardik has reduced or not. In the last match, there were thousands of children on the field instead of regular fans, so they did not have to face booing. Batting has also become stronger with the return of Suryakumar Yadav.

The pitch of Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium is considered a paradise for batsmen because many fours and sixes are hit here. Initially, fast bowlers get swing and pace on this ground, but after the ball gets old, it comes easily to the bat and hence a lot of runs are scored here. Most teams like to bowl first after winning the toss on this ground. The chances of rain coming in Wankhede Stadium are almost negligible, and both teams will benefit greatly from this.
