A lot of incidents have been seen so far in the ongoing ICC Cricket One Day World Cup 2023 in India. Pakistan cricket team has also been involved in some controversies. The complaint filed against Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan is also a similar case. This matter has now shaken the cricket world. After the complaint was filed against Rizwan, its news is becoming increasingly viral on social media.
In the complaint filed against the Pakistani wicketkeeper, it has been said that Rizwan was seen offering Namaz at the crease during the drinks break in the match against Netherlands (Pakistan vs. Netherlands) in Hyderabad on October 6.
This incident was seen in Hyderabad during Pakistan’s match against Netherlands in the ODI World Cup 2023. While both teams were rehydrating and planning strategies, Rizwan’s initiative to offer namaz during the halftime break caught the attention of spectators inside and outside the stadium. But this is not the first time that Rizwan has shown his religious devotion during a match.
Now an official complaint has been lodged against Pakistani batsman Rizwan. According to media reports, lawyer Vineet Jindal has decided to file an official complaint against Rizwan. Following Rizwan’s behavior in the match on October 6, a formal complaint was lodged with the International Cricket Council (ICC). Copies of this complaint have been sent to the ICC Ethics Committee, BCCI in India, and PCB in Pakistan.
After Rizwan’s case took legal form, this controversial topic became deeper. Even during the T20 match against India, Rizwan was seen offering Namaz on the pitch. Many people who watch cricket in India have accused Mohammad Rizwan of praying at inappropriate times during the game.
These cases of Rizwan are not limited to the cricket pitch only. This year the Pakistani cricketer was seen offering Namaz in public in America. Cricket fans wondered why Rizwan did not offer namaz in his hotel room.
