‘Narendra Modi’, ‘Amit Shah’, Dhoni-Tendulkar’,… BCCI received 3000 applications for the head coach of Team India!

The T20 World Cup is about to start. But, along with that, the search for a coach in Team India also remains a hot topic. BCCI had invited applications to become the head coach of the Indian cricket team, for which the last date to apply was 27 May. BCCI received applications but more than Rs 3000 were fake. Not only this, among those fake applications, there were applications in the names of some famous personalities of the country like Narendra Modi, Shahrukh Khan, Amit Shah, MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar.

Most of the application are fake

According to the information of English newspaper Indian Express, BCCI has received applications in fake names of Tendulkar, Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, Virender Sehwag and other former cricketers. Along with this, politicians have also applied for the post of coach in fake names of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

BCCI had accepted applications through Google Form on May 13 and many fake applications have been received in them. However, no information has been revealed yet whether any genuine candidate has also applied or not. Let us tell you that the name of former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir is in the forefront for the post of head coach of Team India.

Fake applications have come before also

However, this is not the first time that BCCI has received applications from fake candidates for the post of coach. Earlier, around 5000 fake applications were received using the names of celebrities for the post of Head Coach Hadd in the year 2022. At that time the board had asked the candidates to apply through email, but this time Google form has been used.

Main conditions for the post of BCCI head coach

1.Have played at least 30 test matches or 50 ODI matches.

2.Head coach of a full member Test playing nation, for a minimum period of 2 years.

3.Has been the head coach of an Associate Member/IPL team or equivalent International League/First Class teams.

4.National A teams, for a minimum period of 3 years.

5.Must have BCCI Level 3 Certification or equivalent.

6. Maximum age should be 60 years.
