The opening ceremony of the 2023 World Cup will be canceled. The star-studded event was scheduled to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 4, a day before the opening match of the tournament at the same venue. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hosted an inaugural event in Ahmedabad with famous Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh, Arijit Singh, Tamannaah Bhatia, Shreya Ghoshal and Asha Bhosle.
