KL Rahul has been named the captain of the Indian team for the ODI series against South Africa. It was already heard that he will be the captain. On this day it was sealed. On the other hand, young batsman Rajat Patidar and wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson, who has been out of the team for a long time, have also got a chance in the team. Rajat Patidar, who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, is yet to make his international debut. The big thing is that Rohit Sharma has lost the ODI captaincy in this series.
Rajat Patidar has been included in the ODI series against South Africa. Also, Sanju Samson, who had repeatedly failed to open the door to the national team before, has been included in the Indian team. Sanju was earlier part of India’s T20 series against Ireland in August 2023. After that, he could not get a place in the team.
The tour against Africa will start on Sunday, December 10. First, a three-match T20 series will be played. Then the three-match ODI series will start on Sunday, December 17. After that, both teams will enter the field in red ball cricket. The two-match Test series will begin on Tuesday, December 26. The tour ends on Sunday, January 7, which will be the last day of the second Test.
