Chasing the target of 114 runs, RCB got a good start from Sophie Devine and Smriti Mandhana and both the batsmen added 49 runs for the first wicket. This partnership was broken by Shikha Pandey by dismissing Divine who scored 32 runs. After this, captain Mandhana took over the innings, but Minnu Mani sent her to the pavilion on the score of 31 runs. Then Elise Perry and Richa Ghosh gave the team victory in the last over. Bangalore needed five runs in the last over.

Arundhati Reddy came in to bowl, while Richa was on strike. He took one run on the first ball. At the same time, Perry took one run on the second ball. Richa gave victory to her team by hitting a four on the third ball. Perry remained unbeaten on 35 runs and Richa remained unbeaten on 17 runs. Shikha and Minnu got one wicket each from Delhi.

Delhi innings

Earlier, due to the brilliant bowling of Shreyanka Patil and Molineux, RCB all out Delhi’s innings for 113 runs in 18.3 overs. Delhi team, who came to bat first after winning the toss, got a great start from the opening pair of Shefali Verma and captain Meg Lanning. Both the batsmen put pressure on the RCB bowlers by playing aggressively, but left-arm spinner Molineux, who came to bowl the eighth over, made Delhi’s innings falter by dismissing Shefali, Capsie and Jemimah in this over.

Shefali played an inning of 44 runs in 27 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes. After this, Shreyanka Patil did not give Delhi batsmen a chance to settle down. Delhi’s batting was so bad that the team which once scored 64 runs without any loss could not even play the full 20 overs and was reduced to 113 runs in 18.3 overs.

For RCB, Shreyanka Patil took four wickets, Molineux took three and Asha took two wickets. The interesting thing is that nine wickets were taken by RCB spinners while Radha Yadav was run out. Lanning scored 23 runs, Rodriguez and Capsey could not even open the account. Cap was out after scoring eight runs, Jonassen three runs, Radha after scoring 12 runs, Minnu after scoring five runs, Arundhati after scoring 10 runs. Tania could not open the account, while Shikha remained unbeaten after scoring five runs.
