Ricky Ponting Steps Down as Head Coach of Delhi Capitals After 7 Years

Australian legend Ricky Ponting on Saturday resigned as the head coach of Delhi Capitals. The franchise confirmed this on social media. Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting joined the team as a coach in 2018 and has decided to part ways after being the head coach of the team for nearly seven years.

Under the tutelage of Ricky Ponting, Delhi Capitals recorded some of their best seasons in the league, including 2020 when they reached the final in the UAE.
