Sara Tendulkar, daughter of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, has issued a statement regarding her fake pictures surfaced on social media. In a message shared on Instagram, Sara also informed the fans that fake accounts have also been created in her name on X (formerly Twitter).
Sara wrote in her message shared on Instagram, “Social media is a wonderful place for all of us to share our happiness, sadness, and daily activities. However, it is worrying to see the misuse of technology as it takes away from the truth and authenticity of the internet. I have seen some deepfake photos of myself which are far from reality.”
Sara demanded action against her fake accounts created on X, writing, “Some accounts on X (formerly Twitter) have been clearly created with the intention of impersonating me and misleading people. I do not have an account on X, and I hope that X will look into such accounts and suspend them.”
Sara concluded her statement by saying, “Entertainment should never come at the cost of truth. Let’s encourage communication that is based on trust and reality.”
