Scotland had a strong performance in the 2024 Europe Region Qualifiers. They finished on top of the table by winning six out of six matches. Many faces in the team can do wonders in Caribbean conditions. The team has been refreshed with the arrival of fast bowler Brad Wheal and keeper-batsman Michael Johns, but they have lost their experienced seamer Josh Davy, who was unavailable for selection.
The team will be led by Richie Berrington and the return of Michael Jones bolsters the batting line-up. Brad Wheal is the fastest bowler in Scotland’s bowling attack and may like the Caribbean pitches. George Munsey has led Scotland to many big wins in this period, including his unbeaten 66 in the win against the West Indies in the 2022 World Cup. Since June 2015, when Mansi made his T20I debut, no one has scored more runs than him for Scotland. Batting all-rounder Brendon McMullen has played six out of nine T20I innings at number three, where he has a strike rate of 147.82. He also bowls, where he took five wickets for 34 runs against Ireland in the 2023 ODI World Cup Qualifier.
Scotland is playing in a major ICC tournament for the ninth time and is playing on the global T20 stage for the fourth consecutive time.
