Shivam Dube Out of T20I Series Against Bangladesh Due to Back Injury, Tilak Varma Replaces Him

The Indian team suffered a major setback before the start of the three-match T20 series against Bangladesh. The team’s star all-rounder Shivam Dubey has been ruled out of the T20 series. The BCCI has also announced his replacement on Saturday. Tilak Verma has been included in the squad in his place. Shivam Dubey has been ruled out of the upcoming T20 series due to a back injury.

The BCCI said, “All-rounder Shivam Dubey has been ruled out of the three-match T20 series due to a back injury. The senior selection committee has included Tilak Verma in the team instead of Shivam. Tilak will join the team in Gwalior on Sunday morning.” Suryakumar and all-rounder Hardik Pandya are two big names on the team. Apart from them, Arshdeep Singh, who was part of the T20 World Cup winning team, is also there. With senior players being given rest, players like Abhishek Sharma have this great opportunity to show their skills. Abhishek had scored a century against Zimbabwe. Sanju Samson will open the innings with him. Shivam Dubey was part of the Indian team that became the T20 World Cup champion in June.

Mayank consistently caught people’s attention by bowling at a speed of 150 kmph during the IPL earlier this year. He had to withdraw from the tournament midway due to a rib strain. Usually, any player has to prove his fitness in domestic cricket to make a place in the national team. 22-year-old Mayank has been given a place in the Indian team due to his special skills.
