Sourav Ganguly said, ‘If Rohit Sharma loses the World Cup final for the second time, he will jump into the sea of Barbados’!

The Indian cricket team has made it to the finals of the T20 World Cup 2024 while remaining unbeaten. The team faces South Africa in this title match. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India is playing the World Cup final for the second time within seven months. In November-2023, Team India had reached the final of the ODI World Cup, but could not win. Former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly said that if Team India does not win the final this time, then captain Rohit Sharma will jump into the sea.

Team India faces South Africa in the final of the T20 World Cup. South Africa has reached the final of a World Cup at the senior level for the first time. Therefore, South Africa would also like to fully capitalize on this opportunity.

Rohit will jump into Barbados

Rohit Sharma was very sad when Team India lost the final of the ODI World Cup to Australia on 19 November. Now they have a great opportunity to fill that gap. Speaking to news agency PTI, Ganguly said, “I don’t think he can lose two World Cup finals in seven months. If he loses two consecutive World Cup finals in seven months under his captaincy, he will jump into the sea in Barbados.”

Ganguly further said, “Rohit has led the team from the front. I hope this continues in the final as well. Hopefully Team India will win and they should play with complete freedom. They have been the best team of this tournament. I wish him all the best.”
