Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Chennai Super Kings by six wickets. Batting first, Chennai scored 165 runs for five wickets. In reply, Hyderabad achieved the target by losing four wickets with 16 balls remaining. For Hyderabad, Aiden Markram played an inning of 50 runs in 36 balls with the help of four fours and one six. Actually, young batsman Abhishek Sharma gave a flying start to Sunrisers Hyderabad while chasing the target of 166 runs. Sharma ji had taken the match away from Chennai in the power play itself. Batting at a strike rate of 308, he scored 37 runs in just 12 balls. During this, Abhishek Sharma also hit 2 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. Apart from Abhishek, Aidan Markram also played a good innings of 50 runs in 36 balls at a strike rate of 138. Travis Head also scored 31 runs. The winning shot came from the bat of Nitish Kumar.

T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Pat Cummins, Shahbaz Ahmed and Jaydev Unadkat took one wicket each for Hyderabad.
