Amid the World Cup, injury problems are not leaving the Indian camp. After Hardik Pandya, during batting practice in the nets before the match against New Zealand (IND vs NZ), the ball of dynamic batsman Suryakumar Yadav hit his wrist. Hardik Pandya had to be ruled out of the upcoming match against New Zealand in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala on October 22 due to an ankle injury. The inclusion of Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan in the playing 11 is also under doubt.
Suryakumar was struck by a ball on his right wrist during the practice session. Before the batsman decided to start practice, the support staff came in and looked after him for a few moments. He came out of the net holding his right wrist and immediately the physio applied an ice pack to the affected area.
After being stung by a bee on his neck, Kishan immediately threw his bat and came out of the net. He sat with the physio for a few minutes. After this, the wicketkeeper-batsman stood up and immediately walked out of the training session holding his neck.
In the absence of injured Hardik Pandya, Kishan is contending for a place along with batsman Suryakumar Yadav, now in this situation choosing the team has become a bit of a headache for Rohit Sharma.
