Team India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav injured ahead of the Test series against Bangladesh. Playing for Bombay, Yadav got injured during a match against the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association in Duleep Trophy 2024. Suryakumar played only 38 balls in this match and after that, he had to return to the pavilion.
There is no official information about the severity of the injury yet, but if Suryakumar is not fit for the upcoming India-Bangladesh T20 series, then some possible options are emerging for the leadership of the team.
If Suryakumar Yadav is not fit for the T20 series against Bangladesh, then Rishabh Pant can be a major option for the captaincy of Team India. Pant has captained the Delhi Capitals in the IPL and has also served as the captain of India’s T20 team in 2022. His experience and leadership ability make him suitable for this role.
