In the mini-auction held before IPL 2024, Mitchell Starc set the record of being the most expensive player in IPL history. Starc was bought by KKR for Rs 24.75 crore. Three players can break this record of Starc in the mega auction.

There are constant discussions about Indian cricket team captain and former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma that the franchise will not retain him for IPL 2025. However, till now no official information has been revealed about Rohit’s release. If Rohit Sharma is released and his name comes in the mega auction, then there will be a competition to buy him among all the franchises.
