A day before the start of the ODI World Cup 2023, India cricketer Virat Kohli requested his friends. It may not have been the politest message, but Kohli made it clear to his friends not to ask him for ODI World Cup tickets and urged them to enjoy the game from their own homes.
Virat Kohli posted a story on Instagram, writing, “As we are getting closer to the World Cup, I would like to politely tell all my friends not to request me for tickets at all during the entire tournament. Please enjoy from your home.”
Many cricketers in the past have admitted that they have received requests for tickets from friends and family members before or during major tournaments. Meanwhile, Kohli is set to join his Indian teammates in Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) on Tuesday, a day after flying to Mumbai due to personal reasons.
Meanwhile, Kohli became one of the owners of the newly launched all-electric powerboat series, the UIM E1 World Championship, which will start in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia next year. Kohli is currently part of the Indian squad for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Rafael Nadal joins Tom Brady, Didier Drogba, and Sergio Pérez as team owners in the competition.
