Bangladesh bowlers went through a tough time today at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad (IND vs BAN). The beginning, however, was a success. First ball of the third over, Tanjim Hasan Shakib returned Abhishek Sharma (Abhishek Sharma). After winning the toss and batting first, India lost their first wicket by 23 runs. After that, the rest was nothing but failure for the Tigers. Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson played with Taskin, Mustafizur, and Rishad. Both did not get a run in the first two T20Is. Two superstars of India were seen shining today. The two took India to a huge run by storming 22 yards.
Suryakumar Yadav hits a six after hitting Tanjim Shakib for three consecutive boundaries. Rishad Hossain was attacked by Sanju Samson. Five sixes in a row brings back memories of Rinku Singh. The first hundred of his international T20 career also came from his bat. He was finally dismissed for 111. Suryakumar returned with 75 runs off 35 balls. Bangladesh got some oxygen by dismissing two consecutive ‘set’ batters in the middle stage of the Indian innings. Mahmudullah (Mahmudullah Riyad), and Taskin Ahmed could see a faint hope of returning to the match if they could pick up some more wickets. But that path was quickly closed by Rian Parag and Hardik Pandya. The duo gave the ‘finishing touch’ to the building of the run made by Sanju-Suriya.
Bangladesh scored 297 runs in 20 overs in today’s match. The failure of their bowlers will be questioned, but the fielders cannot escape the responsibility for the team’s collapse. In the ongoing tour of India, the Tigers have repeatedly been plagued by laxity in fielding. No exception was seen today. Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag are batting then. In the 18th over, Mustafizur Rahman’s ball hit the inside of Hardik Pandya’s bat and hit the pads. It rolled into the glove of wicketkeeper Liton Das. Ryan at the non-striker’s end ran for a run before noticing the whole thing. He came almost to the edge of Hardik. If Lytton could have broken the wicket with a proper throw, then Ryan would have been out. But he could not. Shanta also had a chance to pick up the dropped ball and break the wicket. The Bangladesh captain couldn’t either.
