Yashasvi Jaiswal Creates History in Melbourne with Record-Breaking Feat After 60 Years

Yashasvi Jaiswal has performed brilliantly in the fourth Test match against Australia, but despite his strong innings, Team India has not been able to win. The Indian team had to face defeat by 184 runs in the match and with this, the team fell behind 1-2 in the series. Jaiswal scored half-centuries in both innings of the fourth Test, but he could not complete his century both times.

Jaiswal batted brilliantly

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 82 runs in the first innings for Team India. Then he was run out and could not score a century. After this, he remained at one end in the second innings as well, but he did not get support from the other batsmen. In the second innings, Team India scored a total of 155 runs, out of which 84 runs came from Jaiswal’s bat. The rest of the batsmen proved to be a flop badly and could not play big innings. Jaiswal’s wicket was taken by Pat Cummins in the second innings. After 60 years, a foreign batsman did wonders

Yashasvi Jaiswal has done wonders by scoring half-centuries in both the innings. He has become the third foreign player to score 80-plus runs in both innings of a Test match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Before him, Hanif Mohammad (the year 1964) and Herbert Sutcliffe (the year 1925) had scored 80 plus in both innings of a Test match at the Melbourne ground. Now Jaiswal has repeated the feat of Mohammad Hanif after 60 years.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is in great form

Yashasvi Jaiswal is in great form and a lot of runs are coming from his bat. He has played a total of 18 Tests and 23 T20 Internationals for Team India so far. 23-year-old Jaiswal plays for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. He is known for scoring runs quickly, but if needed, he can also bat by staying at the crease. He has shown this in the fourth Test.
