Just when the whole nation was celebrating the achievement of Ravichandran Ashwin, the news of his withdrawal hit. In the previous match held in Rajkot, Ashwin completed his 500 wickets in Test cricket after dismissing England’s Zack Crowley. Becoming the second pacer of the nation to reach the milestone after Anil Kumble, Ashwin gave his spirited message of reaching even higher,” 500 wickets done and dusted now, and we’ve got a game hanging in the balance.” His eyes were already on the 3rd Test. But unfortunately, he had to go back home without being able to participate in the next game. Family always comes first no matter how high you reach. Ashwin immediately quit the Test Match after receiving alarming news from his family.
The fatality of the emergency is still unknown. Although the decision of his withdrawal was sanctioned immediately.
