Hany Farid, a professor at the University of California, Berkeley, claimed that even a single photo can be exploited to create deepfakes. Deepfake content isn’t confined to the dark web only, it’s going on mainstream social media platforms like X. Accounts also promoting Deepfake Adult photos and videos on their Telegram channels for personal requests.
Deepfake technology can be used to create new identities and steal the identities of real people. Hackers use this technology to create false documents or fake their victim’s voice. This allows them to create accounts or purchase products by pretending to be that person.
