It is reported that Mattu has been thoroughly connected with not only one or two but multiple terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. He has been a number one wanted terrorist by security agencies for the past 13 years and an award of 10 lakh rupees is fixed on his head. He was in the Delhi NCR region to collect arms and ammunition that day when he got arrested. Those arms and ammunition were going to be used for a series of terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir. As was said by Special Commissioner of Police Special Cell H.G.S. Dhaliwal.
He has said, “Mattu got caught in the radar of the special cell and Central agencies as they had doubled the security given the upcoming Republic Day.” Notably, Mattu is the only surviving terrorist from Jammu and Kashmir who is under the ‘A++’ category.
