A case of gang rape of a pregnant woman has come to light in Morena, Madhya Pradesh. Police said that in Morena, a 34-year-old pregnant woman was raped by three people who tried to burn her alive. The victim is fighting for her life in the hospital.
An officer said that the victim had suffered 80 percent burns. The victim is undergoing treatment in Gwalior. He said that this incident happened on Friday in Chand Ka Pura village, about three kilometers from Ambah town.
Inspector Alok Parihar of Ambah Police Station told the news agency that the victim had gone to the village to settle a settlement with a woman. The woman with whom the settlement was to be reached had accused the victim’s husband of rape.
During this time, three people present in the woman’s house raped the victim. The officer said that later the three more accused women poured flammable oil on it and set it on fire.
The officer said police have recovered a video in which the victim, who was being taken to the hospital in a vehicle, is heard saying that she was first gang-raped and then set on fire by the accused woman and men.
