An FIR has been lodged against the Wing Commander in Jammu and Kashmir. The incident took place during the New Year party in 2023. Sources say that the Air Force has ordered an investigation after the female officer alleged rape.The Indian Air Force (IAF) has ordered an internal inquiry after a woman flying officer accused the wing commander of an air force station in Jammu and Kashmir of rape, mental harassment and persistent stalking, sources told India Today TV. Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered an FIR against the Wing Commander on the complaint of a woman officer.
Section 376(2) IPC lodged against the Wing Commander
A case has been registered against the wing commander at Budgam police station under section 376(2) of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with aggravated rape by persons holding positions of authority.According to the complainant, the incident took place during a New Year party organized at the officers’ mess on the night of December 31, 2023, when the officer sexually assaulted her in his room.
In a similar incident in 2021, an IAF woman pilot moved the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, alleging that her flight commander sexually harassed her.
