West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee made people angry with her comments!

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee made her reaction on the recent brutal rape incident at Kolkata’s R.G. Kar Hospital, that has left a deep scar on the hearts of people across India and the world. It seems impossible for an ordinary human being to commit such a heinous act. The victim was only 31 years old and was working as a postgraduate trainee doctor at the hospital. It has been reported that in recent days, she had informed her family and a friend that she was being assigned too many night duties, which made her uncomfortable. She had also requested the authorities not to assign her night duties, but the hospital principal, Sandeep Ghosh, compelled her to come for night duty. Subsequently, this horrific incident took place. As a result, West Bengal has been gripped by waves of protests, with people holding rallies and meetings demanding justice. However, what has the Chief Minister said in such a situation? Her statements have shocked netizens. What exactly did she say?

West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s series of incendiary actions and statements

The Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, stated that the increasing number of rape incidents is due to the overly friendly relationships between boys and girls. This kind of comment has had a profound impact on people’s minds. As the state’s Chief Minister, people expect her to ensure justice in such a horrifying situation. People are hoping that she will help apprehend the culprits soon and ensure they face the harshest punishment for committing such a brutal act. However, the Chief Minister’s actions and words seem to be heading in the opposite direction.

It has been reported that the hospital authorities initially claimed that the woman had committed suicide. Later, under pressure, they were forced to admit that the woman had been raped and subjected to barbaric torture. This admission led to a surge of unrest in West Bengal. In response to this heinous crime, people took to the streets, and there were continuous rallies demanding justice for the victim at R.G. Kar Hospital. The hospital principal, Sandeep Ghosh, stated that the female doctor should not have gone alone to rest in the seminar hall so late at night. In protest of his statement, on the night before Independence Day, women across West Bengal, India, and even in various regions outside India participated in the “Claim the Night” campaign. In the fiercely contested derby match between Mohun Bagan and East Bengal, the two rival teams united in support of the rape victim. However, in such a situation, people’s trust in the West Bengal government is gradually eroding. All kinds of rallies and gatherings have been banned. And finally, the Chief Minister’s comments have acted like fuel to the fire.

The reaction of the public went completely opposite. “She is the worst politician ever“, one said directly. “She is the joker of the state“, one commented. Another one said, “One of worst human to exist, she dont have any kind of sympathy nd grief for the victim let alone intention of giving justice. She’ll rot in hell.” Another person commented, “This woman is a witch. She offered compensation to the victim’s family.” The next comment read, “It’s very unfortunate that a Chief Minister, who herself is a woman, is saying something like this… She is a Chief Minister, so she would naturally have more interactions with people,(men & women too)but she is safe na… Is she trying to say that the lady who is in power will be safe but not everyone else.. and may be that’s the reason her government doesn’t not take responsibility for the safety of that ordinary ladies/girls.”
