on Dec 13 a video of Gurpatwant Singh Pannun with a poster of Afzal Guru, went viral with the caption ‘Delhi Banega Khalistan’. Afzal Guru was convicted for the 2001 Parliament attack. This was a threat alert from Pannun to attack the Indian Parliament on or before December 13. coincidentally on the same date in 2001, the Parliament attack happened.
Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is a citizen of the United States and as well as Canada. He is the head of the US-based Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) community.
“My response on 13 December will be in contrast to the 2001 Afzal Gurus resistance against extrajudicial killings of Kashmiris. But, it is going to still shake the very foundations of India’s Parliament. Delhi BanayGa Khalista’,” Pannun said in the video that was shared on social media on Tuesday.
“Modi government has tried to kill me for organizing the Khalistan referendum and I am going to respond. My response on December 13 will be in contrast to Afzal Guru’s 2001 resistance against extra-judicial killings of Kashmiris but still, my response is going to shake the very foundations of Indian Parliament,” Pannun can be heard saying in the video.
Indian security agencies have tied up security very seriously around the national capital Delhi. That will protect Delhi from any such activities by operatives of US-based Sikh for Justice, which was founded by Pannun.
“Modi and India, are you ready to face my response which is to shake the very foundations of Indian Parliament? Delhi Banega Khalistan” This direct threat caused tension among many people.
