Reality Star Shiyas Kareem Arrested at Chennai Airport in Sexual Assault and Rape Case

Famous Model and reality show star Shiyas Kareem was arrested for sexually assaulting a woman on the pretext of marriage, on Tuesday from Mumbai airport. Chandra Police Station cops were expected to arrive at Chennai later in the day to take the popular reality show personality Shiyas Kareem into custody as part of the procedures following the complaint.

The woman alleged a case against Shiyas Kareem!

The Chantera police had alleged a case against the model based on a complaint filed by a gym trainer in Ernakulam. Shiyas allegedly duped the 32-year-old divorcee hailing from Padanna in Kasaragod and repeatedly raped and assaulted her while promising to marry her. The police registered a case under sections 376 (rape, with punishment of 7 to 10 years), 342 (wrongful confinement, with punishment up to 1 year), and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt, with punishment of 1 year) of Indian Penal Code based on the statement of the complainant. police said that in the complaint the woman alleged that he owed her Rs 11 lakh, which he took from her over time. She also charged that Kareem, who owns a gym in Kochi, promised to make her a partner in his business. That woman also alleged that he impregnated her multiple times and made her go through an abortion procedure again and again. The woman alleged that he had assaulted her multiple times.

Though Shiyas Kareem had dismissed the allegations as “fabricated” multiple times .“All the allegations are fake. I agree I know this person, but we never had any sexual relations, and neither did I take any money from her, Almost a year and a half back, I learned about her whereabouts and started keeping a distance from her. From then, she started threatening me that she would file a case against me if I didn’t give her a lump sum amount of money…” he said in an interview.
