Rimi Sen Upset with Land Rover, Demands ₹50 Crore Compensation!

Bollywood actress Rimi Sen has filed a Rs 50 crore lawsuit against a car company for allegedly facing problems in her car. This company is none other than Land Rover. It is being said that Ms. Sen bought the car in 2020 for 92 lakhs. In her complaint, Ms. Sen has accused Land Rover of mental harassment ranging from car-related repairs. Had to face these problems

According to reports, the car was purchased from Satish Motors Pvt Ltd, which is an authorized dealer of Jaguar Land Rover. The warranty of the car bought by Ms. Sen is valid till January 2023. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown during that time, it was not used extensively till it was lifted. When the actress started using the car extensively, she faced many problems. These included problems related to the sunroof, sound system, and rear-end camera.

The car collided with the pole due to the defect

Ms. Sen, while complaining about the defect in the car, has claimed that on 25 August 2022, her Land Rover collided with a pole due to a faulty rear-end camera. The dealer was informed about this from her side. The proof of this was given by her and later the case was dismissed. At the same time, when she would get one problem of the defect in the car fixed, then another problem would come up after that.

The car had to be repaired more than ten times

The legal notice filed by Ms. Sen states that the car has been sent for repair more than ten times. Even after that, it is facing defects. Due to this, she is facing mental harassment and extreme inconvenience.

Compensation of 50 crores sought

Ms. Sen has sought compensation of Rs 50 crore from Land Rover for the defect in the car getting it repaired repeatedly and the mental harassment caused by it. Along with this, an extra Rs 10 lakh has been demanded to cover the legal expenses.
