Danger Looms Over 30 Schools in Delhi-NCR: Licenses May Be Cancelled

The district administration has started getting strict on 30 schools in Delhi-NCR. 30 schools of Ghaziabad, adjacent to Delhi, are accused of not taking admission as per RTE i.e. Right to Education Act. On Saturday, Ghaziabad DM Indra Vikram Singh reprimanded all the schools for not taking admission as per RTE.

Let us tell you that the DM called the representatives of these 30 schools on Saturday. The DM clearly instructed all the schools that if the admission-related report is submitted by 24th July, then action will be taken. Let us tell you that in Ghaziabad, the licenses of 6 big schools that did not take admission as per RTE in the last session have been canceled.

Complaints received from 30 schools

There were continuous complaints of not getting admission as per RTE in Ghaziabad. Keeping this in mind, the DM called the representatives of the schools on Saturday. In this meeting, the DM expressed displeasure over Delhi Public School Meerut Road not taking even a single admission as per RTE. The DM said that this year action will be taken against the schools that do not take admission as per RTE.

In this meeting, representatives of a total of 30 schools including DPS Vasundhara, Uttam Vidyalaya for Girls Shastrinagar, KR Mangalam School, Vaishali, Shambhu Dayal Global Public Vidyalaya Dayanand Nagar, Amity International Vidyalaya Sector 6 Vasundhara, Gurukul The Vidyalaya Dasna Road, DLF Public Vidyalaya Rajendranagar, Cambridge Vidyalaya Indirapuram were present.

The DM had called representatives of 30 schools to the meeting

The DM talked to the representatives of all the schools one by one and directed them to enroll all the children. The District Magistrate, while advising all the schools, said that no one is above the system. The District Magistrate has given time to all the schools till 24 July 2024. After that action will be taken against the schools. Let us tell you that according to RTE, now the fee receipt to the schools and the information given by the schools should be the same. Action is certain if the schools give wrong information to the district administration. Let us tell you that thousands of children in Ghaziabad are given admission to private schools as per RTE.

The Right to Education Act has made provisions to provide free education to children from poor and underprivileged sections on 25% of seats in private schools across Uttar Pradesh. Now these schools of Ghaziabad will have to tell by July 24 how many children have been admitted this year as per RTE. Then the district administration will investigate and if any mistakes are found in it, the license of the school can also be cancelled.
