To cast your vote, your name must be in the voter list. You can easily check your name in the official voter list by visiting the official website of the Election Commission. If your name is registered in the voter list, then apart from Voter ID, you can cast your vote through other documents decided by the Election Commission.

How to check name in voter list

For this you will first have to go to the website of the Election Commission.
You have to click on the ‘elector menu’ tab on the home page.
Now click on ‘Search Your name in the electoral roll’.
Now enter your Voter ID number. If you do not have a Voter ID number then you can search by entering your registered mobile number or personal details.
After this you will get your name in the voter list.
