The list of the 69th National Film Awards of India was announced on Thursday. Allu Arjun became the first Telugu actor to win the National Award for Best Actor for his brilliant performance in Pushpa: The Rise.
As soon as Allu Arjun’s name was announced, wishes poured in for the stylish actor from his well-wishers. The celebration at the actor’s home was no less, as his father and well-known producer Allu Aravind greeted him first.
Not only that, a video shows Sukumar, who directed the action-drama film, hugging the actor and congratulating him.
Not only that, several film personalities congratulated Allu Arjun, who became the first Tollywood actor to win the National Award for Best Actor in the 68-year history of the award.
In 1985, he made his debut in the film industry as a child artist in the film ‘Boni’. Then ‘Gangotri’ (2003) was his first film as a hero. He became a pan-India actor with the blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise.
Grandson of famous comedian Allu Ramalingaiah and son of Allu Arvind, Allu Arjun is also the nephew of megastar Chiranjeevi. Chiranjeevi’s wife Surekha is Allu Arjun’s cousin.
Congratulating Allu Arjun, Chiranjeevi tweeted: “Proud moment for Telugu cinema. Heartiest congratulations especially to my dear Bunny for the National Best Actor award. So proud of you.”
Leading actor Junior NTR congratulated Allu Arjun, saying, “You deserve all the success and awards you have received for Pushpa.”
Allu Arjun’s cousins Ram Charan and Venkatesh also congratulated the actor.
On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy congratulates Allu Arjun on winning his first National Award for Best Actor. He congratulated Devi Sri Prasad for winning the National Award for Best Music for ‘Pushpa’. In response, Allu Arjun thanked Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Apart from Allu Arjun, SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ bagged six awards including Best Popular Film.
