Holi is an extremely joyous and playful festival of colours and love, but the colour that is used could be very dangerous to your skin and if not properly treated can he harmful for your skin in the longer term. First get rid of the Holi colors. Do not try to wash the colors off immediately, it will worsen it. Is a thick layer of oil, leave it for 10 minutes then you can go for a shower.
Never to use hot water to get rid of the colours because it will solidify the colour. Use a gentle and mild facewash and body wash all over your body and gently scrub your skin with a loofah to get rid of the color. Do not go raw with the scrubbing after playing Holi. Use a clarifying shampoo to Remove color from hair, do not overdo the sampooing. After the shampoo, apply a good amount of conditioner on the lengths of hair. Leave on for a couple of minutes and rinse with cold water. After your shower, do not forget to apply a nourishing body lotion and face moisturizer. Because the skin tends to become very dry because of excess color and sun exposure.
After shower, you can use some homemade face packs that will help to maintain the PH levels of your skin. Milk, papaya, and alovera gel mixed with honey can be beneficial to your face for better results. If some colours are still on your face and scalp, mix yoghurt, honey, olive oil, and coconut oil and apply it. This will help to Remove the extra colours.
