Heart attack rate has increased! know the condition of your heart health at home with these 2 simple tests!

A heart attack is often diagnosed in emergency settings. If you already had or are having a heart attack, your health care providers will take immediate steps to treat your heart in that condition. If you’re able to give right answer of their questions that time, it will be great for the treatment. They may ask you about about your symptoms and medical history. Usually for most adults, the normal resting heart rate is between 60 and 100 beats per minute. But factors like stress, anxiety, medication and the level of your physically active can affect your heart rate. Today we will tell you two simple tests hat will tell you about your heart health!

Tests that will tell you how healthy your heart is!

Check your heart rate: To examine your pulse rate at home, you just need to place your middle finger and your index finger of your right hand on the inner wrist of your left hand. By doing this you will be able to feel the tapping sound of your heartbeat. For the next step, you need to take a watch and count the number of taps or pulses for 10 seconds. The number of taps should be then multiplied by six to calculate the heartbeat rate for one minute. A normal pulse measures between 60 and 100 beats a minute. If your heart beat rate is above or below this regular count, it’s high time when you should seek medical consultation.

Stair test: The stair test will help you to determine how healthy and strong your heart is. A person who has a healthy heart should not take more than one and a half minutes to climb four flights of stairs, according to the doctors. If you are failing to do this , it may indicate that your heart health is getting weak. You should consult your doctor for a proper diagnosis.

Signs and symptoms of an unhealthy heart:

  • Swollen feet, ankles and lower legs
  • Lack of stamina
  • Light-headedness
  • Discomfort in the chest
  • Left shoulder and left arm pain
  • Heartburn or back pain
  • Sexual health issues
  • Sleep apnoea
  • Blue or pale gray skin color
  • Pain in toes
