The T20 World Cup 2024 is to be held on the soil of America and the West Indies from June 1. This time 20 teams are participating in the T20 World Cup 2024. Many changes in the team
Afghanistan has made many changes in its team from the T20 World Cup 2022. Karim Janat, Mohammad Ishaq, and Noor Ahmed have been included in the team. At the same time, Hashmatullah Shahidi, who captained Afghanistan in the ODI World Cup 2023, has not got a place in the team. He played the last T20 International match for Afghanistan in the year 2022. Rashid Khan has been given the responsibility of captaincy for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
The player who debuted against Ireland got a chance
Nangyal Kharoti made his international cricket debut for Afghanistan against Ireland this year. The 20-year-old player impressed in the series against Ireland. In that series, Nangyal took five wickets in three matches at an economy of only 5.90. Mohammad Ishaq, who was part of the Afghanistan team in the Under-19 World Cup in 2020 and 2022, has also got a chance.
Rashid will be seen leading the spin department in the Afghanistan team in the T20 World Cup 2024 with the support of Mujeeb ur Rahman, Noor Ahmed, Nangyal Kharoti, and experienced Mohammad Nabi. Naveen-ul-Haq, Farid Ahmed, and Fazalhaq Farooq have retained their places and form Afghanistan’s fast bowling line-up.
