Assam Chief Minister Mr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has asked the state police to register a case against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi! The reports say that the state police were asked to register a case against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for ‘provoking the crowd’. As a result of that, the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra was stopped by the police in Assam’s Joarabat, when it was making its way to Guwahati. Reports are saying that this triggered protests from Congress workers who broke barricades and raised slogans. “Your unruly behavior and violation of agreed guidelines have resulted in a massive traffic jam in Guwahati now,” the Assam CM claimed over X.
But the congress leader Rahul Gandhi has claimed that Assam’s Chief Minister’s office contacted the leaders of the University and ordered them not to allow Rahul Gandhi to speak to the students. The Congress leader Rahul Gandhi planned to hold a direct interaction with the students of USTM University. But, when the Union Home Minister’s office got involved in this matter, Gandhi’s plans got ruined. Then, the congress leader took a last chance, he addressed a crowd of students who had gathered on the road, and gave a speech atop the bus!
“The Home Minister of India called up the CM of Assam, and then the Assam CM’s office called up the leadership of your university and said that Rahul Gandhi must not be allowed to speak to the students,” Rahul Gandhi told a gathering of students in Assam. He also told them, “You are being told that you must blindly obey the RSS and the leadership of this country. You are being told that you should not have your imagination. You are being told that you cannot speak your language. You are being told that you cannot have your history. You are being made to be blindly obedient. They are trying to turn you into a slave. It is not possible!”
