Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, while giving information about the accident, said that this tragic accident took place at around 3:55 pm near Butchar Island near Mumbai. A speed boat lost control and collided directly with the boat. 13 people, including 10 civilians and 3 Navy personnel, have died in this accident. While 101 people have been rescued.
CM Fadnavis has announced that compensation will be given to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident. A help of Rs 5 lakh will be given from the CM Relief Fund.
