Controversial Youtuber and big boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav was finally arrested today by Noida police. He has been arrested in connection with a probe into the suspected use of snake venom as a recreational drug at a party here four months ago. On Sunday afternoon, the famous YouTuber, Elvish Yadav was produced in the Sunday special court of the Remand Magistrate and they sent him to jail for 14 days, according to police.

Nine snakes, including five cobras, and snake venom were recovered during the raids, according to the police. Elvish Yadav’s name came up when the arrested persons were being questioned by police. They revealed that they used to supply snakes to parties organized by the 26-year-old YouTuber. A First Information Report (FIR) was lodged under the provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and for criminal conspiracy following a complaint by PFA against six people including Yadav. The accusation was, partying at a banquet hall in Sector 51 where snake venom was made available, police said.
The case was lodged under the provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, according to the Indian Penal Code sections 120B (party to criminal conspiracy), 284 (negligent conduct related to poison that endangers human safety), and 289 (negligent conduct to animals), said the police. Charges under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act also has been added to the case.

“Elvish Yadav was called for questioning in the case. He was arrested after adequate evidence, including those linked to the NDPS Act, was found in the case. Further investigation is underway,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Vidya Sagar Mishra said. The Noida police said during the investigation of the case, it had collected some samples which have been confirmed by the forensic laboratory as “snake venom”. “The accused has been arrested by a team of Sector 20 police station which was investigating the case,” said Manish Mishra who is the additional DCP of Noida.
