A massive explosion took place at an illegal fireworks factory in Madhya Pradesh. This has killed at least 11 people and injured another 80, accoding to the latest reports. This unexpected incident happened on tuesday at the factory in Harda district of Madhya Pradesh.
People could feel the explotion ten miles from the explosion site!
An employee at the Harda district factory has said to the reporters “We can confirm seven deaths so far. We have admitted 65 injured people here and referred ten more to large hospitals.” The explosion was so powerful that it was felt within a radius of 15 to 16 kilometers from the site! The explosion caused shattered glass windows and this caused panic in the area! A video of the incident is being surfaced, which is showing the magnitude of the explosions.

“It was like a strong earthquake. We ran outside and witnessed a fire,” an eyewitness has told the reporters. The rescue operation is still underway, they are trying to rescue as many people as possible, confirmed by the rescuers. Madhya Pradesh Chief minister Mohan Yadav held a meeting with the officials in connection with the incident, right after the incident. “In the meeting, the chief minister directed that providing immediate treatment to the injured from the Harda accident is our top priority. Ambulances are being rushed to Harda from the surrounding areas, and the Army has been contacted to arrange for helicopters,” the Chief minister office has said in a post on X.
“Distressed by the loss of lives due to the mishap at a cracker factory in Harda, Madhya Pradesh. Condolences to all those who have lost their loved ones. May those injured recover at the earliest. The local administration is assisting all those affected,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed on an X post. The PM also added that Rs. 2 lakh will be given to the family of each deceased in this fatal accident, from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. All the injured patients will receive Rs. 50,000 each.
