Rumors are rife that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may officially announce their names today. Today the Prime Minister will visit the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The inauguration of three new infrastructural projects as well as the progress of the ‘Gagan Yaan’ mission will be reviewed. At that time, there were speculations that the names of the four astronauts may be announced. However, no official comment has been made on the matter.

A report by media outlet The Times of India, citing sources, claimed that Prashant Nair, Angad Pratap, and Ajit Krishnan have been selected. Along with this, an astronaut named ‘Chauhan’ has also been selected for the ‘Gaganyaan’ mission, according to the media report quoting sources. However, there has been no official comment from the Indian government or the Indian Space Agency ISRO.

According to the report, four astronauts were preparing for the ‘Gaganyaan’ mission in Bangalore. Today they will be present at Vikram Sarabhai Space Center. The report quoted sources saying that Prime Minister Modi will officially announce their names then. ISRO has already informed that three astronauts will be sent on the ‘Gaganyaan’ mission.
