3,300 kg of narcotics got seized in the highest ever offshore capture and five foreigners from got arrested from an Iranian boat off the Gujarat coast. All these informations are given by the NCB, on Wednesday. The five people who got arrested from the boat are suspected to be either Iranian or Pakistani nationals. Although no form documents or other papers of nationality have been recovered from them yet.
What’s going on Gujarat? Well, ₹350 cr worth of drugs are seized from fishing boat!
A joint operation, which was done by the special operations group and Narcotics Control Bureau has successfully intercepted a consignment of 50 kilograms of heroin that were packed in packets! According to the police, The accused are suspected to be a part of an international drug cartel! The accused persons are now being interrogated and the police had recovered a satellite phone from the accused.

“The Gujarat Police has achieved another major success in its campaign against drug trafficking – seizing drugs worth ₹350 crore in a raid near Veraval port,” said Harsh Sanghavi, who is the minister of state for home. He has writen this in a post on X. He also said , “A joint operation by the special operations group (SOG) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) successfully intercepted a consignment of 50 kilograms of heroin packed in packets, with an estimated total value of ₹350 crore.This operation, conducted jointly and successfully by the SOG and NDPS teams, resulted in the apprehension of 9 accused, including three main suspects.”
Manoharsinh Jadeja who is the SP for Gir-Somnath, has said that the police had prior information about the accused individuals. “They are a part of an international drugs cartel. We may be able to share more details after interrogating them,” said Manoharsinh Jadeja. According to the news, the operation was carried out in the Arabian Sea near the International Maritime Boundary Line. It was done jointly by the ATS, Indian Navy and the NCB.
