The A320 Airbus, operating flight 6E 2221 of IndiGo, went to the dead end of the runway 28/10 after missing the designated taxiway at the Indira Gandhi International Airport! This caused a drama on the runway. This IndiGo aircraft, which came from from Amritsar, somehow missed the taxiway after landing at the Delhi airport on Sunday morning. But this lead to blocking of one of the runways for around 15 minutes!

A IndiGo aircraft, that came from Amritsar to dekhis has accidentally missed the taxiway after landing at the national capital’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The incident happened on Sunday morning. As per the reports, the incident led to the blocking of a runway for atleast 15 minutes! This A320 aircraft went to the dead end of the runway 28/10, a source told the reporters. The incident and affected some flight operations that time. Later, an IndiGo towing van towed the aircraft from the dead end of the runway to a parking bay!

The runway got cleared only after Indigo towed their aircraft from the runway. Due to this problem, the departures from the runway remain halted for the whole time. The aircraft that suffered the incident was a five-year-old Airbus A320-271neo. IndiGo has configured this aircraft in an all-economy class cabin in a 3-3 configuration. Each of the 186 seats of the flight has 30 inches of pitch and 18 inches of width. The plane has a total capacity of 186 passengers in a single economy class cabin with a three-by-three configuration.
“IndiGo flight 6E 2221, operating from Amritsar to Delhi, missed the exit taxiway after landing at Delhi airport due to low visibility. The aircraft stopped at the end of the runway and was towed to the parking bay by a tug. IndiGo prioritizes operational safety above all else and regrets any inconvenience caused to passengers,” said an airline spokesperson.
