Shahrukh Khan Set to Grace ‘Koffee with Karan’ as a Special Guest!

Shahrukh was not seen on ‘Koffee With Karan’ for several seasons. This year two films are blockbuster hits of Shahrukh. Karan Johar said that he will call Shah Rukh Khan at the right time in ‘Koffee with Karan’. Koffee with Karan is now in full swing. Every episode of this show has gone viral because of controversy. Many stars are seen appearing in this episode like Deepika, Alia, Ranvir, Kajal, Rani and many more . But Shahrukh Khan was not in the list. Why!

Why Shahrukh Khan turned away from Koffee with Karan?

Shah Rukh was once a regular on this controversial chat show but suddenly he started to stay away from it in the last few seasons. Karan Johar said as a friend he understands and respects Shah Rukh’s decision . Karan also expressed that he will approach him when the “time is right”. 

“I just know if there is any megastar who has earned his right to speak when he needs to, it is Shah Rukh Khan. I, of all the people, have been his closest friend and family and should understand that. I have that leverage because he is family to me,” the filmmaker and father of the show Koffee with Karan said at an event of “Koffee With Karan”.

“I can ask him and request him and he has never said no to me. So, I never asked because I know he didn’t want to be in that situation of dilemma, where he has to say no to me. I pick and choose what I ask for,” he also said.

SRK has appeared in seven episodes of the long running show but not this time?

As per Karan Johar ‘s point of view, said, “With all reason, I think.. he’s there but I don’t think he wants to be in the forefront and speak and I think he deserves his silence. I think we as fans and filmmakers should give him that.”

Shahrukh was last seen in KWF with Alia Bhatt in the premiere episode of Season 5, back in 2016. That was before the release of their film Dear Zindagi. This year Shahrukh is busy with his back to back superhit releases. His first release Pathaan is the reason of attracting the audience into the theatre again. In September, his film Jawan became the biggest domestic Hindi grosser of all time. Right now he is counting hours for his third release of this year Dunki. And now Karan Johar has confirmed that SRK won’t be making an appearance in the new season of the talk show.
