Champai Soren became the new CM as ED arrests Hemant Soren!

Hemant Soren, the president of JMM has been arrested by Enforcement Directorate. He has been arrested in the land scam case. This happened on Wednesday and now in this situation his cabinet minister Champai Soren will take over as the next chief minister of Jharkhand. The former CM Hemant Soren reached Raj Bhawan to give his resignation as chief minister.

Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren registered a FIR against ED?

Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren hs now registered a FIR against ED officials. He has registered the FIR at an SC/ST police station in Ranchi over the searches ED officials did at his Delhi residence. The Enforcement Department had seized one BMW car and almost ₹36 lakh in cash after the searches. Before the arrest, the former CM Soren has tendered his resignation as Jharkhand chief minister to Governor CP Radhakrishnan at the Raj Bhavan . After that he was taken to the ED office in Ranchi. Soren will be replaced by JMM leader Champai Soren as the chief minister.

“We have chosen Champai Soren as the leader of the Legislative Party. We came to the Raj Bhawan to request the Governor for the oath ceremony,” Jharkhand minister Banna Gupta told reporters outside the Raj Bhavan.

According to the sources the 48-year-old Former CM Soren was “evasive” in his replies when the questioning was going on and that’s why he was taken into custody under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The ED will produce Soren before a special PMLA court in Ranchi and the agency will seek his remand for custodial interrogation.

“You can see how the Central Government and BJP are hatching a conspiracy to destabilize & topple governments and form their own government in non-BJP ruled states. So, the party is prepared to face and tackle all conspiracies. But no such situation will arise as all the MLAs in the alliance are united. Hemant Soren will be the CM.We are hearing it from the media,” JMM MP Mahua Maji said on the speculations of his arrest.
