Kangana Ranaut’s comments on the farmers’ movement created a controversy. BJP also did not take his comment well. But, this time while replying to Kangana’s comments, Simranjit Singh Mann, former MP of Punjab and leader of Shiromani Akali Dal, made a very controversial comment. In a recent interview, Kangana said, ‘A lot of rapes have happened during the farmers’ movement. The body was killed and hanged.’ Kangana also expressed fear that a situation like Bangladesh could have been created in India due to this movement. In the response of this comment the senior leader made another more controversial comment.
What exactly did he say?
Simranjit Singh Maan said, ‘Kangana should explain how rape happens. Then people will understand. He has many experiences of rape.‘ This comment of the senior leader has caused an uproar.
Kangana slammed Simranjit Singh in social media
Kangana did not waste time in slamming the SAD senior leader. She wrote in her X handle,‘It seems this country will never stop trivialising rape, today this senior politician compared getting raped to riding a bicycle no wonder rapes and violence against women for fun, is so deep rooted in the psyche of this patriarchal nation that it is casually used to tease or mock a women even if she is a high profile filmmaker or politician.’
It is to be noted that after Kangana Ranaut’s comments, there was an intense uproar in the political circles. JP Nadda summoned Kangana on Thursday. There they talked for a while. Kangana is new to politics. However, before stepping into direct politics, he made several ‘political’ comments. The top leadership of Gerua Shibir did not take kindly to his comments on the farmers’ movement, according to sources. However, in the meantime, Kangana is abuzz with Simranjit Singh Mane’s comments.
