The agitation of the candidates of Public Service Commission (BPSC) in Bihar has turned into a storm. Here thousands of candidates broke into Gandhi Maidan with their demands. Along with this, Leader of Opposition Prashant Kishore was also present. At the same time, the district administration closed all the doors of Gandhi Maidan in view of security. Despite this, the administration did not have any effect.
By evening, the crowd started moving towards the Chief Minister’s residence via JP Golambar. The police also stopped the candidates at the CM residence, but the crowd started moving forward by breaking the barricading. Patna Police was forced to lathi-charge the protesters.
That’s why the agitation is becoming fierce
It is worth noting that this agitation is becoming fierce with the demand to cancel the 70th preliminary examination of Bihar Public Service Commission. Under the leadership of Prashant Kishore, the candidates had planned to gather at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, but the district administration had issued a letter on Saturday and banned it. Despite this, thousands of candidates under the leadership of Prashant Kishore reached near the Gandhi statue and started protesting.
Heavy police force deployed
After this, at around 5 pm, Prashant Kishore took those candidates ahead of Gandhi Maidan to march to the Chief Minister’s residence. The administration deployed a large number of police force to stop them. An attempt was made to stop the crowd near JP Golambar, but the crowd broke the barricading and moved forward. Police is deployed at Dakbungla intersection ahead.
Insistence on meeting the CM
The candidates protesting against BPSC have now insisted on meeting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directly. Although Sadar SDM Gaurav Kumar had said that they would meet the secretary of the commission, but the candidates replied bluntly to the SDM saying, “What will we do by meeting the officer of the institute on whom we are making allegations? We do not want to meet the BPSC officer, but Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. We have hope from him only now. We will meet him only”.
Barricading of JP Golambar Path broken
The police put up barricades on JP Golambar to stop the crowd from coming from Gandhi Maidan. Not only this, due to the presence of a large number of police force, the BPSC candidates created a ruckus at JP Golambar for some time. Due to the large number of crowd here, the police could not stop them for long, as a result the candidates broke the barricades of JP Golambar Path and moved ahead.
BPSC ready to talk
At present, seeing the storm of the candidates’ agitation, the government has now agreed to talk to the BPSC candidates. The five-member team of the candidates will talk to the government. That is why Prashant Kishore has started the agitation. An appeal has been made to the candidates to stop the agitation.
