INDIA bloc convened the 4th meeting of this season in New Delhi on Tuesday. The meeting was generated to discuss the strategies for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Mallikarjun Kharge’s name was suggested by many leaders as the prime ministerial face of the coalition. Then reports came that West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and AAP party supremo Arvind Kejriwal have proposed Mallikarjun Kharghe’s name for the PM’s face of the INDIA bloc.
Mallikarjun Kharge for PM?
The opposition INDIA bloc has held an important meeting in Delhi on Tuesday. In that meeting, the leaders discussed their plans for the unity of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Though any final decision hadn’t been taken yet on the INDIA bloc PM face, according to the reports. But, the INDIA bloc members have discussed the suspension of Opposition MPs from Parliament and condemned it.
The West Bengal Chief Minister said, “I have proposed Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s name. Arvind Kejriwal supported my proposal.” AAP MP Raghav Chadha also said that Mallilkarjun Kharge has a 55-year-long good and experienced political career. Chadha also said Kharge is very socially reformed and a political luminary.

“We have to win first and think what to do to win. What is the point of discussing PM before having MPs? We will try to get a majority together,” Malliakrjun Kharge said.
The meeting was held at the state-run Ashoka Hotel. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad, CPI-M’s Sitaram Yechury, RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav and Ram Gopal Yadav were all present at the meeting.
