Halal Certified Tea | Passenger Refuses To Take ‘halal tea’ in Vande Bharat Express, Angry On Staff

A passenger recently created a ruckus by confronting an Indian Railways employee for serving ‘Halal-certified’ premix tea on the Vande Bharat Express train.

The incident was recorded by the passenger himself, who refused the ‘halal tea’, saying it hurt his religious sentiments. The video went viral on social media on Thursday.

In the video, the confused passenger is heard asking a railway staff member, “What is Halal tea?” In the north, containers of premix tea served on passenger trains point to the ‘Halal-certified’ label.

Despite assuring the passenger that the tea was 100% vegetarian and healthy. The Passenger said to the railway worker, “We don’t want a religious certificate… such a certification hurts our religious sentiments.”
